$1000+ discount and interior question

I browsed through pages and pages of interior threads but I couldn't find a good clear shot of the black checkered cloth interior. Don't like the leatherette (feels cheap) and don't want to pony up for leather plus I really like cloth in the hot TX summers but curious to see what it looks like. Couldn't get a good feel for it by the small sample at the dealer and none of their cars in stock had cloth.

Will probably order an 08 Pepper White S hardtop with black roof/mirrors/stripes with Sport, LSD, Convenience, and HID in the near future. I saw some people got no discount, some with $1,000+. If anyone got over $1,000 on an ordered car and wouldn't mind sharing which dealer it was that would be great. I have no problem flying (within a reasonable distance) and taking a road trip back to Dallas.

Lastly what kind of power are the R56 putting down with an intake/exhaust/chip (up the boost ala VW 1.8T with chip etc)?

Interior

We've got 2: an '07 S Cabrio with leatherette and an '07 S R56 with checkered cloth. Both cars have the sport option which I like for the extra wrap-around....kind of holds you in the seat. We're in Vero Beach, FL, and I prefer the cloth down here in the summer. Purposely bought the R56 without the premium package, since it seemed like the sunroof created a greenhouse under the Florida sun.

Good luck

Best price I've found (not supposed to post on the interweb) is from South Bay Mini in Torrance, CA. Talk to Philippe Kahn, the fleet manager.

Trust me this is the best price in the nation on a new car.

Yeah I'm skipping the premium package since I really dislike sunroofs and don't need most the other stuff that comes with it. Besides we already have a 3 convertibles for top down fun

Cool thanks! My parents live just 2 minutes away on Hawthorne so I'll definitely give him a call. I stopped by their BMW store as well as Lotus when they were still a Lotus franchise. Did you buy a car from Phillipe?

perhaps I'm confused but doesn't the price of a flight negate the $1000 savings?

I have lots of frequet flier miles saved up. And if it's relatively close Southwest Airlines is pretty cheap. I bought my RX-8 this way and saved 4 grand over the local dealers. (Got 10,000 off sticker vs 6,000).

not gonna mention prices, but Ottos BMW/MINI in West Chester PA are great to work with, Chad, Brook, they are all great. I'll give them props whenever I can. Best car experience i have ever been involved in (and i used to work at a car dealer)
