Golf Clubs

Any golfers out there? I took my first trip to the driving range in the MINI and brought two people with me. I was hoping to fit two bags in the MINI, but couldn't get it to fit. I ended up bringing one bag and some extra clubs.

I would imagine it would be pretty easy to get 2 bags in there with just one passenger. I was just a bit disappointed that I couldn't get 2 bags + 2 passengers.

Anyone have any tips?

MINI golf bags

I notice that my passenger seat slides a lot further forward than drivers.

With rear seat on that side flat and parcel tray removed, there is four feet in length (18" width) available at window level,
would expect to fit at least two bags in that space

MINI's are small, but larger than most Golf Carts

Roof Rack, Bumper Rack or small trailer

We almost always have 2 sets of sticks in the car since we play at least a couple times a week.

They fit crosswise behind the front seat with the rear down.. with a long driver you may want to remove it from the bag but it'll fit. We have packed for a week with 2 sets if clubs, soft luggage, and room left for souvenirs..

The trick is to leave out the 3rd person and you will be good! Easier to get on standby that way, anyway!

Shoot low, drive quick!

Golfer that I am, it's a trick to bring 3 people and 2 sets of stix in the Mini. I did it today. You gotta have the 2 with the bags pack light, meaning no big staff bags, rather the smaller carry/stand bags. They'll fit on top of each other with one seat folded down, bottoms to the front, clubheads to the rear. Sometimes you can fit 'em with one bottom front, one rear, but they have to stack. Foursomes forget it, bring the freakin' SUV.

Make sure you keep the heads to the rear and down. And head covers on. Got a nice mark on the side window where a driver head just "tapped" it.

3 and 2 is NBD. I carried 3 people (full-sized males) and 3 bags (no pull carts) in my 1st Gen to a golf course 45 minutes away--the day after I first picked up my MINI. Nothing sticking out of the windows or sunroof either. I suspect the R56 has a wee more capacity margin to work with too.

The bags were stacked at an angle with the left rear seat folded down and the headcovers right behind the driver's left arm. Yep, leg room was pretty much non-existent for all three passengers, but we had fun making it work. We certainly drew some amazed attention at the bag drop...

The answer - Mini Clubman. no problems fitting clubs in comfortably. That is what sold me finally on the Mini.

Your golf clubs concern was one of mine when I checked out Mini.
I had a BMW conv and I could get the bag in the trunk, if I took out the woods.

I bought a Clubman. The things we use to help us decide what make and model to purchase!
