I personally like AB/W and almost got that combo. It shines much better, although it shows dust much more easily as well.

PW/B is a classic combo that I didn't really think too much of at first, but it really grew on me. Very classy.

Don't think you could go wrong w/ either combo...they're both Minis after all!

The Pepper white is faster as its lighter because it doesnt have all the extra weight of the matalic flecks in the paint

Hi Ekhoality,

I noticed from the sticker in your windshield that you got your car from East Bay MINI, me too. When did you take delivery? I just got mine on May 14th. I felt good about my experience there and appreciated their large selection. I was debating between all white or white with black top and they had at least one of each. Made it much easier once I could see them in person.

Technically the Concord dealership is closer to me, but I had a good friend that got hers from East Bay so I went that route. Just last month I checked out the Concord dealership with a friend that lives in Walnut Creek, and they had seven cars on the lot. Really nice folks, but pretty small dealership.

cheers-

I hope not! That statement makes me question whether I made the right choice....

Brings up the bigger question of if a Mini can ever be "gangsta"

lol

Maybe it can be a MINI gangsta from one of the smaller crime families!

I got my car off the lot on July 2nd. I went to Concord Mini also, but their selection was, like you said, very limited. Because they had very few cars, the markup prices were insanely high. I think it was maybe $2000+ for cars off the lot? Prior to going to East Bay or Concord, I wanted a PW/PW or AB/AB with stick. Coincidentally there was a PW/PW at East Bay's lot, saving me the dreadful wait that many Mini owners go through. They were very nice there, and even knocked off the markup price on the car!

The reality is, what ever color you end up with it's going to be great! All Mini's are unique and cool looking in their own way. I am getting a full Astro Black Cooper, but I always look at a mini no matter what color it is.

Check the peerage of the pepper white forum. Tweeckey just posted a photo the other day of 3 of us who took a nice drive. All 3 MINIs were PW, but they all look so unique! She posted on 7/23 in the morning.

Technically, AB is "Moonlight Black Metallic" according the the plate inside the engine bay. . .

Moonlight Black Metallic > Pepper Cream

Pepper white was my second choice.
You win, either way.

PW all the way! It would have been a harder choice for me if Jet Black were still available. I'm one who actually didn't like the blue tint to the AB. But I just love, love, love the look of the PW/B (esp. with the viper stripes!). For me it was a last minute crisis of conscious when CR started niggling my brain, but when I walked out of work one day and saw a PW/B with viper stripes parked smack dab in front of my workplace, I took it as a sign and ordered that day.

The PW owners' club isn't called the "Peerage" just for the alliteration, you know.

I love that last comment! How about a little alliteration for the masses: People who Purchase the Pepper White are Positively Pleased!

I also narrowed my final decision to these two colors. My 2 color combos were going to be these:

1) AB with white roof/mirrors/wheels/bonnet stripes

or

2) PW/PW with exterior chrome package

With either color combo, I was going to get the carbon black lounge leather with piano black trim and the interior chrome package.

I would have considered the PW with black roof/mirrors/bonnet stripes, except on the non-S Cooper, they don't offer black wheels as an option and after seeing some pictures of this color combo on NAM, I think the black wheels definately make the car look MUCH nicer.

I couldn't make up my mind between #1 and #2. Then a few days before I placed my order, my dealer happened to get a new Cooper in with the #1 color combo. It wasn't optioned the way I wanted on the interior, but the exterior was beautiful, so I thought I had my mind made up. I went back the next day to ask my salesperson a question, and that car was still sitting in front of the dealership in the same exact spot, except it had obviously been taken for a few test drives, and now those beautiful white wheels were now all dirty and black and full of break dust.....in 1 day!! So based on that, I decided on color combo #2. I just took delivery about 10 days ago, and it looks beautiful!
