bluetooth problem?

Hi everyone. I picked up my mini yesterday and I'm loving it

I think I have a problem with my bluetooth connection though. Whenever I have a call the volume of the speaker is very VERY low, and the volume does not go up all that much. Its so quite I have to ask my speaker "what? what?" all the time. Also, the phone speaker only comes out of one of the driver's side speaker(s). Is there a setting that I'm missing to fix this? or is this horrible occurrence normal?

Thanks

To increase the call volume just turn up the volume **** on the dash or use the steering wheel button. It's the same volume control you use to adjust the radio. It will remember this setting for the next call as well.

I haven't noticed if the sound comes out of only the drivers side speaker, I'll have to check that out. It's plenty loud enough with the volume up.

I have moved the volume button on the dash and the steering wheel --- all the way up and it doesn't get any louder. I'm not new to the system, as my bmw has the same bluetooth system and it works great... but not in the mini :(

Can you adjust the volume down and have it lower? Maybe the whole volume part isn't working right.

yes, it will lower to silent, but won't get louder than a 3 out of a 10 point scale.

Is your phone on their list or on the list posted on NAM here? Sounds like a trip to the dealer might be in order. Mine can be as loud as the radio if I wanted.

Check the volume on your cell

With some bluetooth equipped phones, you must also turn up the volume on the phone itself. I know with my iPhone I have to do that from time to time.

I have an iphone too. The volume is all the way up on my iphone too, but i will try hitting it while connected.

I did hear that sound is coming out of all of the speakers.

I can adjust the volume of the "mini man" that talks to me as load as I want him to go, but cannot adjust the volume of the actual call to barely above audible level.

Thanks Nico! That is what fixed it. The iphone has a separate ear piece volume for bluetooth that is only active when it is on an active bluetooth link. Never seen this in any other cell phone before.

Another iphone owner with the Mini bluetooth package. Can you guys tell me where you found the bluetooth volume on the iphone? Or should I use the regular volume buttons on the side when the phone is paired with my Mini?

When you have your iPhone connected just use the buttons on the side of the phone while a call is in process. This will either increase or decrease the bluetooth volume.
