Question about mounting badges

With regards to mounting badges to the grill of 07+ MC; I have seen somewhere (maybe several places) that holes must be drilled. Must say that I am not too keen on taking a drill to my 5 day old MINI. Does anyone have or know of a more palatable way to mount badges?

You could look at the badge holders that attach to the license plate that http://www.gominigo.com/Badge-Holders.html offers.

I have the Craven badge holder. It is similar to many others. There are two screws that go through the slats in the grille. No drilling was required for me to install on my MCS grille. The grille is designed for airflow so it is probably the same for MC too.

You will have to drill if you want to mount it towards the side. Having said that, you can mount it where the grill starts but this will block the air flow to the radiator, so I ended up cutting out a few of those blocked grill. (instead of just drilling two holes for the screws.) So even if I decide to remove the badge holder in the future, it will look oem.

I stayed away from the front badge holder because I didn't like the prospect of drilling into my car.

Coincidentally, I just received one of the new GoMiniGo side license plate mounts in the mail today. I haven't installed it, but I really like that idea. And they're a wonderful company from Washington state that I previously bought one of their glove compartment organizers through.

Plus, I like the idea of placing the badges on the back of the car rather than the front. This holder allows you to use either license plate.
