I also would like to know, exhausts are expensive. And, does anyone know if there is a way to get the exhuast barble on the U.S. versions, i know they removed it for emissions.

Just do a custom exhaust straight back with a universal magnaflow or borla or something. Should sound fine

That somewhat depends on what you want, but I would highly recommend the Alta cold air intake. Getting rid of that awful stock air box will open up the sound of the turbo, yep, your car will actually sound like a turbo car, as well as providing the obvious benifit of flowing more air. In my opinion, It gives the car the kind of character that it needs. You will hear your turbo sucking in air, the trottle will be slightly more responsive and of course you will now be able to hear it blow off. the OEM airbox muffles all this. but like I said, it all depends on what you want. If your currently happy with the more refined sound of your car, then stick with it, and if you spent any considerable amount of money on a stereo upgrade, then definitely don't get it, because you will no longer want to listen to anything but your motor.

ALTA intake is good but you can make one yourself and just as effective for much less $$$. Cost me $78 at pepboys

learned how to from this thread:

You def need a 90 deg elbow. The guys that just attached a filter had some issues with oil build up on the MAF. . .elbow eliminates this problem. Also you need to open up the scoop to make this a useful mod. It is very easy about 15 minutes for the whole thing and can change back to stock if you don't like.
