MINI Gauges

I have a 2007 Mini Cooper S and I have noticed that the convertible has really cool gauges in the center. Is there ANY way that I can get gauges like that in the center or at least get gauges that have all the information? (Engine Temp, Voltage, etc.) Because right now all it is, is wasted space honestly.

well depending on what you want autometer makes gages that go right on the sides of your tach. and there are the factory gages that are fairly easy to install they only have the oil temp (vdo into your oil pan) and a volt gage. I think there is a boost gage too but Im not sure. (I went with both one set from autometer and the factory gages that mount near your cup holders.) you will pay about 300 for either set.

ALTA is making a very nice gauge package. Not to expensive and you can choose the combo or a single gauge.

Takes some installation time and skill.

I have time but no skill with these things. I am sure I could find somewhere to do it.

There 07 convertible is the 06 chassis, which had a chrono pack available. So far, Alta seems to be the only option right now for 07 hard tops. There isn't any factory gauge pack for them.

Could someone who has never installed gauges on a car before manage to install the boost gauge?

yes but you do have to be a little mechanically inclined... and it will be different if the gauges are electronic or mechanical. all of the gauges I've put in my car are mechanical. the boost gauge (auto meter) I put in is connected into the car's fuel rail (its right under the intercooler, and is a real pain to do).
