5 months 6000 miles. My commute is only 5 miles each way I take a few trips here and there for fun as well or it would be at 4000.

I have a 5 mile commute. We have 4 kids, so when we go on trips, it usually isn't with the MINI. (Plus, I was out of commision for 2 months due to surgery).

Not yet.

I am curious: Has there been a correlation between the cold start issue and oil consumption?

Sorry to hear about that. Is going to another dealer not an option?

I may be tempting fate to suggest my Mini has been bulletproof, but after I started this thread, my wife called to say that a red warning light was flashing in the dash and not knowing what it was. Turns out it was 'only' the tire pressure monitor.

ive had mine for a month now and it has 2300 miles i definately tried to drive everywhere possible for the first two weeks so that i could get it to the 1200, and after that its been really hard to not get in the car and just drive. we have two minis though and our other one has 7000 that we have put on in about 4 months. both of us have a long commute though its about 30 miles one way :(

A lot depends on where you live or how far from work ect you are, I have 7200 miles on my car and it turns 1 year old next week, and that includes a 1300 mile weekend trip to Boston last summer. Of course I am 3 miles round trip from work, and 2 miles round trip from most shopping so it is not uncommon for me to drive 100 miles in a week total. I'm glad to say that except for a software upgrade and a "secret compartment" unlock I have not had any problems

(Travel for work waaay too much. Just spent a week in the hills above Oakland CA and really missed my Mini... I might need to find a rental company that has Minis )

I have a Jeep Liberty and my driving time is split evenly between the Mini and the Jeep. I'll probably only put about 6000 miles on each one this year. When I have Mini do my first scheduled oil change it'll be because it's been a year and not due to mileage.

7 months and 8000 miles. No problems so far. The torque steer on uneven surface is my only complaint.

Mine is just under a week short of 4 months old (picked it up 10/13). About 4800 miles, but I have no commute at all (living and working on campus). So for me that's quite a lot.

Four months of ownership and 15,000 miles! :-) Both fog lights cracked but the dealer replaced them free of charge.

Winter keeps the miles down, and she's not the daily driver. Delivered 15 December, 1300 miles. Want to add more ASAP
