R56 Porsche "Turbo" Emblem On a MINI?
Decorations = Rice
One word. Rice. Putting badges on from other makes of cars is the simplest form of rice. Classic examples: the GT-R Mustang, the Type R (USDM) Accord, and one of my favorites I saw locally, a 3rd Gen Camaro with a SVT Badge.
If it doesn't make you faster, it's not worth doing. A friend of mine always says to those people: "Your car is decorated, mine is modified".

Hey, I have a Porsche Turbo emblem on my car...
its black, and about 6-7" long and looks like this.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:1...Turbo.JPG#file
Except, my 1986 944 Turbo is red.
I was planning on popping the badge off if I ever do body work on it though.
The Mini is not 'decorated'... nothing really goes on my cars that doesn't make them go faster, turn better, or stop quicker.

:impatient what a goofy idea, I mean why do U need the badge from another car, to give yours an identity? Of all the dumb stuff ive read on this forum, this one is at the top. Y'all need to check yr crack pipes at the door...:impatient

Font doesn't match. Text size doesn't match. Plus, the point of buying a Prius is for fuel economy... not performance. But, I would like to see the details on that setup... if it's actually real.
Sequence, the emblem was put on the Prius as a joke, but you have to admit the idea of a turbo Prius is fun! I mean, the point of a Prius is fuel economy so turbocharging it makes no sense.......hence the joke! Plus, it makes people wonder............
Anyway, the point of the emblem is no different than any other mod like stripes or trim or anything else, it's just "youification"..........
I say go for it, there's room on the planet for all of us...........
Oh, and it is real, it belongs to a friend of mine.............that is, the emblem is real!

Some folks just do not comprehend the subtlety of placing "turbo" on a Prius or "viper" on a MINI.It takes all kinds to make a world, thank God that we all think differently and behave differently or this would be one BORING place to live.Re-badging a MINI is not sacrilidge, it is a personification of the individuals taste os sense of humor. They are only CARS ,a mode of transport and an individuals personal property. Re-badge and enjoy the pleasure of your right to do as you choose.

This little youification was done by me to my Hubby's 2007 Shelby GT500.
Okay, don't get your tighty white-tees in a wad!
We are still happily married and all.
It gets more attention at shows than all the mods under his hood and undercarriage. The judges don't like it, but who cares. It sure is fun to watch so called gear heads
discuss if it's a real Hybrid or comment that they didn't know that the GT500 came in a Hybrid version.
So he has the only GT500 Hybrid.
For any of you who are questioning the Shelby letters spacing on the back, the Hubby liked the idea that Shelby originally had at having them spaced like this like it was on the 1967 Shelby. Somewhere down the line the spacing got changed to the keep the letters close together on the drivers side. Hubby didn't like it and changed it the way he liked it.
Many other Shelby owners have done the same. So much for original. So is the Hubby's car a ricer?
Oh, lets just not even go there.
Different strokes for different folks.
Factory debadging is an option in the UK. Personally I don't see the point. I got an awesome car, and I want everyone else to know it. Plus it's hella annoying when you're trying to figure out what kind of car something is and they've debadged it.
But to each their own. It'd be no fun if everyone's MINIs looked exactly the same.
You could also get an R56 badge from outmotoring.com.

I may be stirring the pot here, but I think the right turbo badge looks kool. But agreed the font or something must "match" the car. I think the late model Porsche Turbo badge looks nice if the rest of the car is debadged in the back.
e30R56: I had a black 86 325 as one of my first cars years ago! Loved it! Yours looks great in the sig. Any more photos?
Thanks folks!

I debadged mine to make cleaning and waxing easier. The hollow lettering and spacing make it hard to clean and wax very well. Without getting out the q-tips and other small detailing tools. The Mini emblem is easy enough to clean around since it is solid and not hollow.
Well I think the 'Turbo' badge on the Prius is hysterical. But nothing ever made me giggle quite like the 'Actual Size' sticker on the back window of a MINI.
All the more reason why we need the MSW package.
****** bling.
Truly big dogs don't need to bark.
