Wow - everyone is giving me great ideas! I have to wait a while before getting personalized plates....West Virginia requires you have non-personalized plates on a car for a time before getting personalized plates (I still can't figure out the logic behind that rule)....anyway, I'm still trying to decide what I want. Here are some things I've been considering...
MOTORING
OXFORD (for the Mini reason and because I spent a summer studying there)
O2BLUE (my Mini is Oxygen Blue)
nlscooby - I really love MINIAC - mind if I steal that?? :-)
I don't have any pics yet, but I just received my custom Euro plate from Germany that says 'NICODEMUS' (the name of my car). Now I just have to decide if I can stomach the drilling that will be required to attach it to him!

you should try automotive tape, my friend attached his euro plate with that stuff and its super strong and no holes!!!
Just picked up my plate yesterday. Since I am a of scottish decent, and participate in games. My laser blue mini is K1LTED. I had to use a one in instead of an I as well. When you get to the 2008 Mini of the Dragon, look for the guy in a Kilt.
Just my opinion, but I'd stay away from the obvious and from the esoteric. The obvious, we can quote from the First Book of Duh, such as plates that read "BMW M3". The esoteric is so personal that it doesn't mean anything to anyone else, such as "FGGW22", so why bother? Just my 0.02.
I understand the comment about staying away from the obvious, but from the personal as well? My Euro plate is very personalized, but I don't care whether anyone has a clue what it means. It's meant as a decoration of MY car for MYSELF, not for the masses to read and get a kick out of. To each his/her own I suppose.
