Ok. If there is information about this elsewhere on NAM, please accept my apologies. What are the function(s) of the two small lamps on the bumper below the headlamps? They aren't fog lamps because I don't have a switch, but they turn on with the headlamps and also when I unlock my car. Please let me know if they can be turned off because I don't like looking like I am driving with fog lamps when it isn't foggy. Thanks.

 

They are parking lights and come on separately in the first position on your lighting stalk. That's half the story...and half the lighting unit....as fog-light equipped MINIs also have the front fogs down there in that same light-housing. Generally you can tell 1) by the front fog-light toggle and 2) non fog-light equipped MINI have black insert over part of the lens. I actually like this setup because the look of the car is still nice without a separate blanked-out place in the bumper where fogs should be located.
