Homelink Transmitter Setup?

Hi, I just picked up my Chili Red MCS yesterday, and I can't figure out how to setup the homelink transmitter (on the rearview mirror). Does anyone have instructions for this, or can you point me to which of the 5 manuals cover this topic? Thanks.

BTW, love the car!

if you have the revolving codes it will take an extra step or so but take a look in the main manual, i don't have it in front and can't recall page #.

Not that difficult to set up...

I have a Craftsman opener. I referenced the Mini owner's manual for the procedure and was able to mine by myself on the 2nd attempt. The Mini owner's manual (not one of the smaller manuals) content on pages 71 and 72 was correct and worked without issue.

Oh, and timing is critical, as once you press the button on the opener, you probably have less than a minute to complete the exchange with the Mini remote.

Have fun with your new car!

Cheers,
Jeff

It goes something like this:

The ignition has to be on.

Hold the two outer buttons for 20 seconds until the led flashes twice.

Press and hold one of the buttons on the mirror whilst pressing the old transmitter and it has to be close to the mirror. Hold the buttons till the led flashes fast.

Now hold down the button you just programmed for a second to see if it works. If it doesnt read the manual

This was the part that got me. The first try I had the opener in my lap and it didn't work. The second try I actually read the manual and held it a couple of inches from the mirror.
