Exhaust Burble Sound Question

My MCS has a sweet little burbling sound between shifts that I do not recall hearing on the test drive I took (of another MCS). Is this a common sound? I think I read somewhere here that a software update removed this sound (?) I don't want to remove it - I'd actually like to amplify it.....maybe later with an exhaust system.

Totally normal. I believe it's called the "resignator" within your exhaust that produces that sound. Don't know about a software update to have it removed but I highly recommend the "maybe later with an exhaust system" theory!

Got any specific recommendations? I wish I could hear them all before deciding....

Part of me is just thinking I should save up for the JCW kit and be done with it - good for warranty and probably better for resale value than a cobbled-together performance kit.

I know that on the R53 the burble is definitely a software-controlled sound. When LDG, re-tuned my MCS, they completely removed the burble. Personally, I thought the stock "burble" was a bit too ricey, tho it did sound better with my ALTA exhaust. I don't miss it.
