What changed 10/07?

I was browsing through the accessories pages on the dealer's website and noticed that R56 floor mats are different after 10/07.

So, this begs the question, what changed?

how The mounted to the floor. The new ones have "pre-drilled holes for you to put the velco holding pieces in instead of having to cut the carpet for them to fit like you used to. nothing major at all

I wanted to ask that question, but I was trying to restrain myself. So, thank you Wolfshiem.

I was specifically worried because I had floor mats on my Christmas list and I was concerned about potential confusion from non-MINI obsessed family members trying to make a purchase.

This is what I get for not specifically mentioning mats before I finished negotiating.

i'm actually digging the look of the carpet ones in cosmo, maybe urban styles. Do they actually look good in 3D? I didn't order mats but i 'think' my MA implied that they will throw in a set at delivery. A set of what i don't know....maybe matching paper service mats.

I also liked the Cosmo mats, but without seeing them in person it's hard to tell if they'll hold up. There's not even a wear pad on the driver's side (or at least it doesn't look like it in the picture I saw on one of the various MINI vendor sites). Plus I can't really tell what they're made out of? Is it really velour?

So what I really want is the carpet mats for summer, the rubber for winter, and the cosmo for show. Yikes. That's a lot of cash on just mats.

Maybe my MA can find it in the goodness of his heart to throw in some mats anyway since I'll be taking delivery so close to Christmas.

I picked up a WeatherTech FloorLiner; basically a plastic liner for each side of the front floor (front only). They were pretty expensive, but they fit perfectly and look great! My friend took one look at them and now he wants a set for his '07 Mustang.

The reg carpet ones look great but sepending on your location the Rubber ones are awsome as well.

the cosmo ones you all are refering to, is that the one with the white vertical stripes, sorry don't know the names of the mats? if so, they look different but good. Depends on interior, if you have a dark interior it looks good, tuscan beige is probably a no no for those mats

The Urban mats have the white stripes (not The White Stripes). The Cosmopolitan mats are all black and have silver trim around the edges.
