Buy OEM factory alarm online about $180, DIY and active by dealer (between $50 to $140).

not sure if my Rep said they didn't have alarms for the 07s or he meant they just ran out of the part...i've asked several times and..he said he's just waiting for the service ctr to call him back..then mentioned something about not having it?

My street parked car needs more protection so I got the alarm from Morristown MINI. I wanted it installed by my local dealer since I just dropped my car off with them for service, but they were going to charge over double what Morristown offered.

Morristown quoted me $220 for the install. I don't think I'm up to a DIY job. Guess I now have an excuse to drive through Sopranos hood.

That's pretty good - so $400 flat for the part and installation. Exact same thing they charge from the factory. Surprising given that dealer installed options are just about always more expensive. The beauties of a dealer that sells under MSRP and offers reasonable labor fees.

When I called Cravier for the price check to reprogram the alarm, they want $290 (full price installation).

WOW, really good deal! Too bad I'm all of 6.5 hours away... Even Morristown is 2.5 - we'll see.
