I don't have my car yet but according to the MA if you have a NAV system it will tell you which tire is flat but if you don't it will just tell you that a tire is low (but not which one)
That agrees with what someone with the system posted. IIRC, he has a NAV and posted a shot of the screen showing which tire was low.
from what i understand, even the new system has no way of telling you the pressure in each tire... correct?
i would think that this would be possible since my dads 04 caddy has direct pressure monitoring and can tell you the pressure in each tire on the OBC.
It doesn't seem to show which tire unless you have the NAV. In my case I had a deviation of all 4 tires from the previous set point and that triggered the warning.
Alas, I don't know as I haven't seen the sensor go off yet. I keep meaning to go out and let some air out of one of the tires just to see what happens, but I never seem to find the time. I'll try it this weekend (before some kid with a pen knife beats me to it ).
If they had bothered to tell me neato stuff like that was included in the NAV I might have sprung for it.
Believe me it was tempting but in the end, for me, it would have been $2000 for a tire gauge since 99% of my time is spent on rfoads I already know pretty well.

More impressive than a flat tire graphic is the Park Distance Control graphic. It shows you how close the car is to obstructions. Then there is the listing of tracks on an audio CD (mp3 or AIFF) so you can navigate and select one. If you have iPod Integration, the NAV makes it easier to navigate it as well. Then there is the bluetooh phone management...
While the tire graphic looks cool, it only tells you which tire is low, not how low. If it was accurate to the 1/2 lb and displayed pressure for each tire it would eliminate the need for a tire gauge. Unfortunately, we still need to have and use a tire gauge.
