Brake Warning

I've been getting this warning (attached) for about three weeks now. Manual is pretty vague about what it means; I have a dealer appointment this coming Monday.

Do I need new brake pads already? Are the stock R56 pads as soft & wear-prone as those on the R53 I had before?

Try your turn signals and wipers.

Do you know there is a forum for problems?

Problem? Didn't Think It a Problem 'till Now!

> Try your turn signals and wipers.

They work fine, thanks.

> Do you know there is a forum for problems?

Yes, but I didn't think this a 'problem'... until now.

What's "Low"?

The fluid reservoir is in common with that for the clutch, right?

I finally located it (under the hatch panel just in front of the wiper rest); fluid looks to be about 1/4" to the low side, if the ridge inside the reservoir is an indication of where it Should Be....

If it's a "known problem" Hopefully the dealer will have the correct replacement module on hand (spoken of below) when I arrive next Monday morning.

I don't think this is the SZL. You have an actual brake warning--fluid, etc. The SZL gives you an idiot light for the PARKING brake.

I have been getting these warnings randomly but have been increasing the last couple days.

I checked my brake fluid last night and it was indeed at the MIN level. Filled to the MAX level and today (so far) no more warning lights/gongs/flashings.
