Auto-down windows?

Don't the 07's have an autodown driver's side window? For some reason, my week 34 build S doesn't seem to be functioning and I could have sworn at the delivery, it was autodown. Am I crazy or what?

You're not crazy. Both the driver and passenger windows are autodown. Time to call service.

Our week 34 build (09/21/2007) R56 has both the driver's and passenger's side auto-down function. Works great!

No auto-up feature though.

When I first got Dexter, I didn't even realize I had auto-down until I gave the toggle a quick tap and down went the window.

Make certain that your door is closed all the way. If the door is open, the auto-open function is disabled.

play with the switches, it takes a light touch on my passenger side, and a heavy one on the drivers.

Mine work fine, just wish I didn't have to stretch a whole octave to get them both up...

Yeah, starting in week 34 Mini changed that function. No more auto down. They change stuff all the time and don't tell anyone.

J/K about the auto down feature. You probably need to call the dealer and take it in. Hopefully they can fix it.

I have a week 39 build and my windows have autodown. I also got the new tire pressure monitor and the new Cooper S door sills. =-) The line begins to blur from 07 to 08 I guess. Oh, I and was surprised to find a wood shifter **** came with my wood dash and wood steering wheel.

Yes, play with the switches. If I just tap the switch down my windows will auto-down. If I hold them down longer than just a tap then it is in "manual" mode and appears the auto feature doesn't work. Maybe you are simply holding your finger down on the switch too long?

Did you know that you can autodown your windows while you are outside the car? Just press and holddown the unlock button of your keys for a few seconds and watch the windows go down...

Would life be great if you could also hold down one button and roll the windows back up and shut the sunroof!!!!

Yea, it's really annoying that you can't do exactly that by pressing and holding down the lock button on the key... However you can do it in any MINI by turning and holding the key in the door after you've locked it. Also in MINI's with comfort access you can close everything by pressing and holding the little black button on the door handle.
