R56 Have an Interior Chromeline?
My April build MC w Oak dash also has all the internal chrome rings in place.
Yeah, mine is all chromed out like that as well. I must say, maybe all the different combinations are finally driving the workers at the plant nuts. Some are missing seals on the door bottoms and now chrome pieces too.

If that is the case I wish it wouldn't show up on the configurator if it's not supposed to. It's (probably unintentionally) deceptive. And confusing.
At any rate, my MA (Chris Y at So. Bay MINI) has been awesome and told me he ordered all the parts for me, so it looks like I will end up with the chrome I thought I'd get, even if it is a week or two late.

Either way that's very cool of them to take care of it and make it right.
I did a little detective work at the dealer lot today and I found MINIs in the following configurations:
Cooper w/ no chrome line and black door and cupholder trim rings
Cooper w/ chrome line and black door and cupholder trim rings
Cooper w/ no chrome line and matte silver door and cupholder trim rings (like on the S)
Cooper w/ chrome line and chrome door and cupholder trim rings
From what I could tell there's some option (non-standard seats? sport seats? non-standard interior surface?) that gets you fancy door and cupholder rings, but if you got the chrome w/o that option then the chrome won't extend to your door/cupholders.
So, basically what this poster said:
As far as chrome on the rear cupholder went, if the car had chrome all the way around and no armrest it had a chrome ring on the rear cupholder. But if it did have the armrest then it apparently doesn't allow for chrome on the rear cupholder ring.
I asked my MA about this and I'm pretty sure I now know more than he does. He did say that as far as he knew, and as far as all the literature they get from MINI states you supposedly get chrome on all dash and door rings if you get the chrome package w/ no stated exceptions. A fact clearly contradicted by at least two cars on his lot.

if you get one of the interior trim upgrades (piano black, fluid silver, brushed alloy, oak) it comes with "extended decor rings" which are the trim rings on the door panels. all cooper s's come with this standard.
i believe you only get chrome on the doors and around the cupholders if you have the "extended decor rings" option.

Yes, thanks for the sleuthing! My MA couldn't really make heads or tails of it, and it sounds like the factory rep was also unable to provide an answer, although he's getting it all squared up. Do you remember if the black door rings were matte or shiny? On mine the handle ring is matte and the speaker rings are shiny, which makes it look even more odd to me. Also, I can't figure out why they'd chrome the gearshift ring and not the front cupholders, extended trim option or not. Anyway, I thought I'd post pics to provide the visual.
Also, it's worth mentioning since people always post their problems and make it seem like all of these cars are timebombs - I am LOVING this car. It is solid, well built and the issues I do have are minor, cosmetic, and are being handled by an awesome MA.

I just wish some aftermarket company would have some chrome trim made up for our MINI'S already!!!
The R56 has been out for quite sometime. How long did it take for aftermarket chrome trim to come out for the older Mini's
300 bucks to replace the rings now, (oem trim rings form the dealer) thats alot if there was a solution like stick on over the existing rings, since the rings are part of the whole speedo piece etc.

As for the gearshift and not the front cupholders, the gearshift seems to get ringed however the dash is, but the cupholders follow the doors. I fixed my previous post to make that a little more clear.
