I had a noise coming from the gearbox when first new, only happened when clutch was out. BMW had the gearbox changed and the flywheel changed and the noise stopped. Now another noise is there whether or not the clutch is enagaged. If you give as little as 50rpm more the noise goes away. I checked the underneath but everything is solid inluding exhaust. Any ideas folks, and thanks.

 

There has been a thread about the heat shield over the turbo developing a rattle, I think mine does it also and have just assumed that is it, haven't looked into it further yet.

If I give the throttle a little blip and let of while standing still I can hear it, usually only when it is cold, once it warms, it goes away.
