speedbox?

does anyone know if minis keep track of all of our speed in a box or ecu?

The ECU datalogs about the past hour of driving in speed, avg speed, fuel consumption, etc., but as it keeps recording new data it clears the old data. There is no permanent "black box" of the car :p that if you die in a wreck will say, "HEY nobody help him because he was going 50mph over!!"

i heard the corevette records it in 2 seperate places, the ecu and a backup in the dash

it seems to me like no one really knows if minis have black boxes

after some reserch and calling mini, they told me that the car doesnt have anything like that but they didnt sound to sure so i looked on wiki
