R56 Actual Gas milage MC or MCS?
If you buy this car you may burn more gas than your current ride. Not because it gets less MPG than what you drive now but you are going to want to drive it more than what you own now.
If you decide to buy a Mini you will most likely not regret it as this car is one of the most enjoyable, fun vehicles you could own for not a very high admission price.

Just saw this in another post:
"you have your language set to British English instead of American English - that messes up the calc - because it's using imperial gallons which are smaller than us gallons."
so need to check my settings - oops if it is set for imperial gallons

Did you shut off the engine and just roll downhill for those 60 miles? Or is it a typo?
milage
i have about 7000 now on my MCS 6 speed, and the best mileage i got was on a driving trip
38.3 mpg
worst mileage i avg'd
19 mpg (racing to the coast)
right now it reads:
avg mpg. 25.9 (lots of traffic, lately)
avg mph. 28.7
-although i reset the puter every fill up-

We're averaging about 34 with a 50/50 mix of hwy/city driving. On our last trip from Kansas City to Oklahoma City, we got 38.1 MPG. On the way back we got 40.5 MPG. Averaged about 75 MPH the whole way. If I had dropped it to 70, it would have been a smidge higher.
Over 10700 miles of driving my car has averaged 32.1 mpg. I have logged every tank of gas and kept careful records. I am not a particularly economy minded driver. I just do what feels right, and that includes some use of the sport button and a bit of zipping around in areas where the roads are twisty. There are a few autocross events included here. It's a mix of freeway and surface streets with a few trips up to Colorado. All of my driving is at 5000 feet or above, which probably makes a positive difference in milage.

Picked up at the dealer on Saturday and drove 400+ miles that day and hand calculated 33 mpg when I stopped to fill up with mostly interstate driving 70 to 75 mph. I was very impressed and the salesman said it would probably get some better once it breaks in.
I average 39 on city/highway mix, can get 45 with cruise on during interstate driving.
We get this same post every couple of months. The last time I said thank goodness for the high mileage as oil had just passed 70 a barrel, it's past 90 now and heading for 100.

If I reset the mpg computer on the freeway while cruising, I am sure I will get better than 40 mpg also. I was going up a slight uphill and the current mpg was reading 32mpg. Down hill was like 55 mpg. 1.6L turbo is just amazing.
