went to the dealership today!! None of them knew of the price change online and as many of you already know by now, they are not for the 07's. They put an order together for *my car* but i told them to hold off until this sunday as i make my final decisions. I felt absolutely NO pressure... Very nice people. Seeing as the prices for the 08's WILL inevitably go up, do you guys think its worth ordering now? or holding off for the 08... im thinking of just going for the 07 as the price increase may even be more than what we saw since it was only a change for the colors and options....

I would assume the base price will also increase.

The only reason I can think of to hold off for an 08 at this point is if you are looking to get the USB port (along with the Bluetooth Mobile Phone Prep). As far as we know, that will be the only real change other than the inevitable price increase that is.

Coupe Configurator Pricing Incorrect

The configurator pricing is incorrect. See the linked MotoringFile story below for more info.

why does it matter?

someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm not sure I see why it matters that the price went up.

for those of you buying a 2007 right now, you do realize that come December, your car will instantly be "1 year old". 3 years from now, the 2008 model bought in January is going to sell for significantly more than your 2007 that you bought in September (assuming the same mileage).

Secondly, if you wait, and don't spend the $30,000 or so until December, that money invested will be about $1k. which is more than the price increases.

now, this is avoiding the crucial central point that it's more fun to have the car now, than later, but it seems to me (and please, correct me if I'm wrong), from a financial standpoint, it seems like waiting to buy a 2008, even with the supposed price increases, make sense . . .

Did anyone else notice, though, that while the prices are back to what they were, the powerfold mirrors are still listed as being included in the CWP? Consistent with that, the standalone mirror option is listed as "in pkg" when you select the CWP, rather than being listed as excluded as it used to be.

That would be a nice addition, especially if it doesn't cost any more.

Still no mention of USB in the Bluetooth description, though.
