Our new MCS had a simular problem. The robot's at the factory forgot to hook up the hose between the tank and the vent valve. We ended up with a crushed fuel tank and cracked fuel pump. If air can't get into the tank as gas is sucked out things can go from bad to worse. Part of the story, stalling a traffic lights, running out of gas with 1/2 tank showing, unable to get cap off the gas tank, 15 minutes to put in 5 gallons of gas.
