New MINI in the Dale of Hope

Hi I picked up Babaganoosh last Saturday, and am just getting around to get some pictures up. So far I have just over 300 miles and loving every minute with the car.

Two things I am planning.
1) Heading to Inskip Mini in Rhode Island to have Union Jack installed on the roof.
2) Ordered clear bra kit (Do it yourself). It should be an interesting install.

First song Played: "I'm Blue" by the 5.6.7.8's.
First complaint: No second Key, dealer had to mail a new one.
Biggest Challenge: Keeping RPMs under 4500 for another 1000 miles.

What is the dale of hope? The town I live in is called "Hopedale"

Three part answer.

I have been looking at Minis since they were introduced back in 2002. I still have the first brochure. In this past May, I was out on a 5 mile run with a couple of my buddies, when I had a Heart Attack. It was one of those "Awakening events in life". While I was out on my 8 week "get well plan", I had brought my other car in for service and saw a 2004 MC40 on the lot, and said, "I should do something crazy, and buy that car", just for fun. I came back the next day to buy it, and it had been sold 30 minutes before I returned. So I started researching buying a new one.

When I first started visiting the forum before I ordered a new car, I thought is was funny that many people on the forum had names for their cars. So I thought I would give it a funny name.

On Spike TV there is a dubbed Japanese TV show called MXC. Its a show where teams compete against each other in crazy or dangerous stunts. All of the names of the participants are made up names based on celebrities or "dirty words". For some reason, in every episode there is a contestant with the last name "Babaganoosh". My kids and I always thought that was funny.

It seemed like a good fit

Sorry for the long anwser, but thats how it came about....
