R56 Pictures of checkered interior surface?
Thanks Soul Embrace and Chili Red07! Are both of you satisfied with the standard dash? I am trying to keep the cost down as much as possible and I can't imagine not being satisfied with that when you consider all that these cars offer. All of the add-on options available are a bit overwhelming and add up $$ quickly.
Today's build (changes often):
MCS - Manual 6-spd
Chili Red/Black
Sunroof
MFSW
Xenon
Black Bonnet Stripes
Cloth Seats
16" Bridge-Spoke Wheels
Total: $23,700 - seems like an awesome car for that price.
I plan to place my order first of the year so I can be driving a mini by spring time.

i like it both the standard dash and standard color line. i didn't like the pacific blue color line, in the config the blue wasn't dark enough. when i ordered my MINI i did it over the phone without seeing an 07 or any of the options in person. i don't have a MINI dealership close to me (the one i bought my MINI from is 2 hors away), i test drove an 06 before and knew i wanted on. when i went to see how much they would give me for my civic i seen the standard checkered and the pacific blue in person and i really liked the standard checkered dash and i was glad i didn't get the pacific blue color line. i did consider the piano black but read on here that it scratched pretty easy and i was afraid of always getting finger prints on it.
looks like you got a nice build (todays build that is
).
i love the bridge spoke wheels, that's what i have- they are easy to clean. i almost got the stripes and probably would have but i didn't like the white outline.
also if you want a full set of toggle switched on the bottom get the rear fog lights (they are only an extra $100), i over looked that option and it's the only thing i regret not getting.

I like the standard surface, and the color line isn't bad but I wanted Rooster Red so at first I wasn't crazy about the grey. Now I think it looks fine, and I've received many compliments about my interior!

*I'm sorry, I know its a mess!!!*

Thanks for the photos! Am I understanding this correctly - the grey part of the dash under the checkered surface is the standard color line?
That's correct; the standard grey is what you're seeing in that picture. The color line can also be had in cream, red, yellow or blue.
