Is it too late for me to negotiate free mats and such?
I asked for them on day of delivery, before I signed the final papers.

Sticker + Free Floor Mats = ~100 bucks off.

It was actually a great buying experience because I knew there was no deal to be found anywhere in SoCal. It was just a question of not getting screwed... which is easy.

If they like you they might give you free stuff without asking. They might grant you a gift if you ask for it. You might also be able to negotiate additional stuff before you give them your money. You need to evaluate the importance of maintaining your integrity too. If you agreed to pay a specified amount for a specific car and you signed a contract or simply shook hands on the deal and then refused to honor your commitment you have discounted the value of your word. What would your opinion be if the dealer changed the deal by demanding more money from you or delivering a car missing some of the ordered options?

I feel a lot depends on how much "Dealer installed options" you get... I got NONE - therefore I only got tank of gas and mats - I feel if I had loaded up on Dealer installed options (@$160 an hour) I may have gotten a little more - I was NOT willing to spend that much - Ya, its $160 an hour at EB Mini = Norhern Ca location
