I think my Mini may have stowed away on some other ship and smuggled herself into the US. According to the tracking program she is still at sea but she has never appeared on any manifest nor has she appeared at a VDC. Today my dealer called me and told me to expect her in Omaha later this week or early next week. I think she might be making her way here via some Mini underground railroad. Luckily she’s an S with the sport package, sport suspension and LSD so if we have to take it on the lam we could stay ahead of the authorities.

 

Probably came over on the K-line which doesn't offer tracking like WW does. That and the owners lounge is normally slow to upgrade at the best of times. Glad that she is almost home.

I've heard that people sneak stuff thru customs all the time. Just stick in their pocket and waltz right thru.

 

Looks as if my Mini has quite a mind of her own and is able to act on her own initiative. Apparently she arrived at the VDC without being spotted on a ship but 10 days later has spent the last two nights at my house without the good folks at the VDC being any the wiser. Perhaps she left some pillows under her sheets and they haven’t noticed that she’s slipped away. Visions of a Mini version of “The Great Escape” come to mind.
