Well, after months of searching I have finally found Lightning Blue touch-up paint for my R56! Levine Paint & Auto Supply www.levineautoparts.com. It turns out that, despite the color code tag on my MINI saying I have "A63/65" paint (which every paint supplier has informed me is actually a Mitsubishi Silver ), the actual code is AA63. I tested it and it is a perfect match. Plus, it's cheap. A large pill-bottle size is $8.99, with a brush.

I got some from them for my last car. You can call them too. They were very helpful when I ordered mine.

 

Yeah, I did. They -- and all the others I tried --- did not have the paint for the new colors for the R56. They also all said the paint code on my car was for a Mitsubishi Silver. Levine was the only one that actually tracked the correct color down. As MINI isn't selling the color in the US (yet), Levine must have mixed it.

 

I would order some as soon as you get the car.
