The grills may look nice but there is a reason that MINI put the sturdy plasticky partially open grills. They are sturdy and won't let too much water in. Most of all, too ricey for me.

unless your Cold air intake is submerged in water...you have nothing to worry about.

Please post some pics when it is installed.

I'm glad bablefish worked out for you. Mostly, when I try to use it on Japanese sites I get very amusing results. Since Japanese is a rather subtle and context driven language, I could see babelfish getting one into serious trouble. "Why did you send me 1,000 jars of pickled radishes? I wanted a custom grille..." "You asked for 1,000 jars of pickled radishes."

Hi,

I go to Japan at least once a year, and am going again in January. I'll be visiting the Garbino folks, among others.

We can get any of the parts mentioned here. The biggest problem with Japanese stuff is price. The grilles referenced above retail -- in Japan -- for $336 each. Factor in freight and import costs of at least 10-15%, and foreign exchange cost of a couple of percent, and you've got a grille that costs $379 or so. That's a pretty expensive grille.
