Ok, y'all, no joke... If you're rubber mats are scooching up against the go-fast pedal and the dead pedal, then you obviously don't have the factory discs installed to hold 'em down.

Get with your MA and tell him that this is what you need. The discs come with directions and a template, but you probably won't need to use 'em.

I simply stuck the disc to the mat, laid the mat down where it goes, and then peeled it off the disc. I then punched a small hole thru the carpet into the matting where the screw-in part was, then I screwed the disc into the hole. I did the same on the other side of the driver's well, and presto!.. no more slipping mat.

Don't have the mini yet but I like the look of the cocomats -- had them a LONG time ago and they were terrific. Quality is quality, and I appreciate the suggestion. I also am thinking I like the look of the black with red dots for my pepper white! Thanks for the suggestion. Now, if I could just get the car!

Thanks to everyone who posted info regarding the factory disks. I picked up the pack from my dealer today (FOC of course) and installed them in about two minutes. They do a great job!

I took YD's advice about a year ago and bought the Cocomats (I opted for just the front mats). Some of the best money I've spent in a very long time (excluding the MINIs, of course).

They not only LOOK great, they are super easy to KEEP looking that way. Something about the material, it doesn't let dirt seep into it. Just vacuum away the surface dirt every now and then. Clean up the heel pad with some 303, and they look brand new.

I use my OEM rubber mats in the winter due to the salt and chemicals in the parking lots... keep the expensive mats for the good weather months.

Even though the rubber mats only have a total of five months usage on them, you can already see wear marks from getting in and out of the car and the heel marks from motoring. :impatient

Get 'em. You won't be sorry.
