Different dealer/different level of service?

OK, hope I can make this clear. What I want to know is if any one has had any experience in purchasing a MINI at one dealer and then moving (say to another state) and getting all on-going service at another dealer? Are they less inclined to look at servicing your vehicle as urgently than for someone who purchased there? Lots of threads on service issues, but nothing that speaks to this.
thx

I bought my MCS about 5 years ago in Jacksonville, FL, but I live way over on the other side of the state in the Panhandle. I take my MINI for service in Baton Rouge, LA. The dealer there, Brian Harris has given me 5 star service the few times I have been there.

It should not matter to the service dept where you bought your MINI; all dealers should be as great as Brian Harris MINI is to me.

Theoretically it shouldn't make any difference. The sales and service depts are separate. Warranty service/repairs should be reimbursed by MiniUSA and of course nonwarranty stuff is paid by owner. That way a dealer with a great service dept rep doesn't get hurt because everyone wants to go there for their warranty repair issues. Rather, they benefit from it.

I bought my MINI from DTM in Orlando, but it serviced at Ferman in Palm Harbor (both in Florida, but owned by different companies). The service has been great so far!!
