week 32 changes, shift light

So i just placed an order for a MCS

will I make it in before the week 32 change that adds a shift light?

I had a shift lite in my mustang back in the 80's, I hope to god I dont get it, or I can turn it off

nothing is as annoying as a light every single time you exceed the recomended shift point, which on a mustang was about 2500 rpm to save gas

it was HORRIBLE, I eventually tore the dash appart and broke the light

I'm hoping I dont get this option, or at least it can be disabled?

That depends on how quickly you get into a production week. Each dealer can only order so many vehicles per month. I had a couple of month wait before my order actually went through. I've seen others post where they've placed the order and the following week they were already in a production week and scheduled for production the next.

It is also still unclear whether or not those changes will be on the US spec version of the Minis. I believe the week 32 time frame is for the UK. If these changes appear in the US version it will be for the next model year. And from what I've read, the options can be turned off.

It's looking like the 2008's will not get the shift light.

I'm not sure why anyone would want a shift lite, or the auto start/stop function

There's no auto start/stop in the USA, the shift light can be turned off.
