The R32 is a fantastic car - if I could have two cars - one would be an R56 MCS the other would be a tossup between an R32 and an WRX STi. I would have to lean towards the R32.

Hey Guys.. New here and an R32 owner... Mine's turbo'd now so can't compare that one... 300 awhp- 12.8 1/4's... but Stock 0-60 was 5.8 sec as recorded by one of the car mags and qtrs right around 14.0 @ 100mph... With a GIAC chip and CAI I ran a 13.9 @ 101 and put down 213 awhp on a Dyno Jet...

I've driven the New Mini S and its impressive, but the R has it all the way in a straight line... Remember Torque is 240 as well, and has it down low and flat...

The cons... and the Mini's advantage... WEIGHT... Mine weigh's 3572 w/ me (250 lbs) and a 1/4 tank of gas... That's w/ lightweight 17's too... On a roadcourse 2 properly set up stock for stock would be very, very close... R would pull away on straights and mini catch back up through the twisties... I ran mine chipped on Summit Point several times with 1st Gen MCS with mild work and it was basically that... even...

I loooove r32s! they would def beat a stock MCS.... i have beat my friends r32 but thats only b/c he wasnt too good in shifting at the time (and my car is far from stock).... now-a-days we are either head to head or he beats me.... and ONLY if we go off a roll

OFF the line (standstill) is a differnt story... b/c they have ALot more torque.... and minis low end kind s*ck

so keep in mind my MCS is work up quite a bit and my friends r32 is StocK!... so they r definatly fast cars...

i love both!! my dad actualy would let me get an r32 b/c he hates VW ....

oh and i drive a r53... not an r56... [i just liked the topic sry to butt in hah]

From what I have been reading R56 has LOT MORE torque than R53 especially in the low end.

Heck, the r56 has a lot more low end torque than an r53 JCW but saying that could start a bonfire.
