I know what you mean about the Bimmer--first time I drove our 530i after driving Zippeee! for 2 months, I thought it had no brakes or steering! Like navigating a boat...

Grrr--mine is STILL in the shop for the 4th day in a row (and no end in sight) because the "wrong part keeps coming in" to fit my "secret compartment." I don't know why others can get it fitted and I can't--especially since I've been the one griping the most.

To add to that insult, my loaner car can't be driven at night! The instrument panel lights don't work, the headlights are aiimed laughably low, and the high beams won't stay on!

I dunno. The car had only 850 miles on it when we got it--maybe no one had ever driven it at night?

There should be a "who put the most miles on their loaner car" club. Last summer with my R53 I had two different loaners. The first was about four weeks, to fix a strange brake suspension clunk in my car that included removing the whole interior, replacing a bunch of the suspension, and not giving the car an alignment. Luckily the damaged the rear interior panels, and scratched/chipped the paint on both doors (like they were rubbing against a lift). So I brought my car back after having it for a day for another two week stay.

I put 2 or 3 thousand miles on their loaner cars (auto R53 Ss) during that time.

3 days before I even picked it up, due to the different parts needed to fit the front JCW rotors onto an R56
