yea i know,... my MA at south bay mini called me today and told me there was a small chance it can be ready by the end of the weekend!!:impatient

 

Well, I picked him up this afternoon at my dealer!!! The thing is a freakin' blast!!!

the OL has my delivery date estimated at 8/5 so it was delivered on sunday?!?! they aren't even open on sunday. In any case I just might have my car this week, it's kinda odd to think that it's been 3 months since I placed my order, what will it feel like to finally take delivery.

 

Wow, first time I heard of a car dealer not open on Sunday! I thought all dealers open everyday.

My MA just told me she is expecting my car coming in on 8/9, and it will take a day or so to prep it. I maybe getting it this weekend!

I'll soon join you guys! My dealer (MA) is painting the arches and side skirts as we speak and said it should take 3 to 5 days. So by Monday or so I'll be driving around me mini!!! What's a few more days anyway, right???? :impatient

 

My MA finally got an update and it should arrive in Portland Thur or Fri and we've scheduled a pick up date of 8/14 (tues). Of course the OL still says Estimated delivery of 8/5 and that it is at the dealer already.

At least i have a busy weekend planned to keep my mind off of things and would've kept me from driving.

 

How much is your dealer charging you for painting?

$1400. Yea i know its alot but he lowered it from 1900 and right now, I'm just really eager to drive away with a mini no matter what the $:impatient

 

If I do pick it up monday, it will be around 8, if its ready by then. Only two more days!!! :impatient

 

Hey fellow week 27ers! I got my MINI yesterday and all i can say is WOW!!! I feel like we've been driving nonstop since we got it. IT IS AWESOME! So much fun! I will post pics soon!

 

You will be there before me then! See if you can see mine there. It would be DS/B one with a JCW rear spoiler.

 

Well, if you get there first, mine is the ab/ab with the chrome exterior pckg and painted arches!!!

 

This car is SO much fun! However, I have the dreaded "Check Engine" light already... I'll probably eventually get over it... just VERY frustrating! All that aside though. This car was the best decision I've made in a LONG time and the wait was SO worth it!

About the CEL, read your owner's manual and you will see that they may not be as big a deal as everyone seems to be making them out to be. There are a million things that can cause it to come on and off all by itself. Not saying there isn't something wrong, but it doesn't ALWAYS mean there is something wrong.

Well guys, it looks like I'll be without Piper for a day or so... . My check engine light came on DAY 2. Just talked with my SA, and he says it is probably the software issue you can find posts about all over this board. Bad thing is, my dealer is 2 hours away... He said roadside assistance will come and tow my car to the dealer, they will fix it, and have it back to me the same day (which I'll believe when I see). I should be happy that it won't be that much of an inconvenience, but my opinion... it shouldn't have happened in the first place. Anyway... just thought I'd share my sad story.

I know, I guess my dealer doesn't work on Mons. OR Tues. Tried calling him and he never answered. pretty bummed out about that. On a good note though,.... KILLER RIDE! Wish i was there to see it in person! Love the wheels! Mine are very similiar to yours!!!!
