Convenience package starting..

I understand the vehicle will start w/ just start button as long as the remote is within 5 feet of vehicle. What happens if engine is running and and person w/remote leaves vehicle ?

EG..drop car for service and hiker pulls away with car..does it lose connection and stop or drive off into the sunset. I could see "forgetting" to leave the key and getting this call--you forgot to leave us a key, you i-iot.

Car will start only if key is inside of the MINI. After starting, if the key leaves the MINI, it will continue to run, and a "key not in vehicle" message will be displayed. Once the MINI is stopped, it can be re-started within 1 minute (I believe this is correct, may be longer). If not started within the pre-determined time period, it cannot be re-started until the key is again present inside the MINI.

thanks...just trying to get the "ground rules" before the car arrives.
Currenly 1/2 way across the pond. Do I sound anxious??? Better believe it.

Your car is a beaut. My friend just ordered a very similar car except he went w/ cream line trim ( I forwarded him your pics since he is not a message board junkie like me.

The waiting is tough, but it will be here before you know it.

Thanks for the compliment ! I almost went with the cream colorline, but in the end, decided on the gray. What I really wanted was Redwood seats, with black door panels, but MINI said "no can do"

the redwood seats with dk silver would be grt. If they had that choice w/ black doors I may have changed my CR/white car to DS just to do that.
Love the redwood seats but not the doors.

You want to keep those seats looking and smelling great? SONUS leather conditioner...the best I have ever tried and I have tried em all. Not cheap but worth it.
