FIBEROPTIC CABLE IN TRUNK

Does anyone know what the two fiberoptic cables are for, that are behind the drivers side pop off door in the trunk. One is on a plugin connector along with a few electric wires, the other is all by itself. My own take on this is that the one with the connector on it is part of a radio mod that I dont have , such as Sirus or HD. the other single one is probably a DATA link to the computer for Upload/Download access By MINI techs. Just curious.!!

I believe it is the pre-wiring for Sirius

One of the fibre optic cables in the back is for computer programming/uploading. I got the full tour during one of the 4-5 attempts to re-program my Mini before they gave up. Seems like a pretty cool system, when it works.
