Actually that was just a mistake on my part... It was up for only a few minutes and it immediately got 7 comments...

I do think it's kinda cool the huge range MINIs can have depending on the spec. From cheery to menacing to classy to classic...it's great we can dial-in these cars in to suit. And the really cool thing is that there is that strong common denominator...they're all MINIs!! Mild, wild, or serious, I can admire someone else's car because it's what they want, even if it is may not be the car for me. I guess its the personalization that we admire and respect. It's a subtle thing, but a very cool thing about MINIs.

Well said. It's one of the brilliant things MINI/BMW have done in product execution. You can say it in marketing all day long but if the product doesn't invite personalization, it's a lost cause. MINI has done an exceptional job of creating a blank canvess that can be shaped in any way... or not at all.

Gabe, before you finalize the order, have a little chat with your buddies over at MINIUSA in New Jersey and tell them that they better make sure that your car doesn't have some of the teething issues already being reported (Ask our friend Krut and his cronically Ill R56) especially the 2nd and 3rd gear groans and the clutch/flywheel problems that have been plaguing these cars. Best of luck with the new car. Tell Stracco that if your car is not of A1 quality, you will let the world know about it.

I think he already knows Seriously though I have my contacts at the plant sorta watching out for my production number. They've also let me in on a few potential issues to keep an eye on. I'll have some details on MotoringFile during the production process.

And every car will have some issues. My '02 had issues. My '05 had issues. That's why there's a 4 year 50,000 miles warranty

DB wasn't suppose to post this until tomorrow
I just love how "I" get the blame for this

That was the earliest I've seen a new woofcast go online in... I think ever!
Todd's busy with moving and striping MINIs right now, so I'm stuck doing everything for the time being. I just sat down and cranked 'em out on Saturday. I could have put it up even earlier, but then you wouldn't have had anything to listen to on the drive to work on Tuesday morning.

Yea, Gabe, i'm very glad you got the Nav. You'll love it, but be careful when they do the iPod install. Be very very careful! :-) (You know what I'm talking about...)

I wish it were that easy!

BTW I'm still finalizing some things this morning and should have it posted on MF later today or tomorrow at the latest. Really sorry for the delay - I know I promised this last Monday :(

Hey OttoMannS

Don't be cursing my MINI - I think it's finally healthy! All it wanted was a new set of shiny shoes (R-99s). :-)

I love the reason behind checking the heated seats on the options list!
