What do you guys think? My take - The exterior should look kick-a** white the interior should really stand out on this one! :eek:

For $35K I'll be seriously looking into a BMW 3 series instead.... But I am sure Gabe is going to get this one at "cost".

My MINI was over 35k when new, but I still think I rather have the MINI!

I understand. That kind of cash opens up a lot of other interest possibilities, however none of them are MINIs

Well actually I already have a 3 Series so no need there! But that aside $35k it is not.

But why buy a MINI for over 30K? It's a good question and one I pondered for a long time. In the end, I want a MINI. I don't want another M3, an Elise or a used Boxster. I want exactly what I'm buying - pretty simply really.

Gabe, Astro Black is one of the best looking colors in the R56, Very good choice.

I was surprised at the NAV system. A 3 series was one of my final considerations, but sometimes it's just more than the money. It's how you feel about the car.

I traded my '03 MCS for a 330i back in Sept '05. My wife and I thought the larger car would be better for the three of us, soccer, etc. Let's fast-forward a couple of years and the 3 series get's swapped out for my '07 MCS :nod:

The 3 series was very nice, but it ain't no MINI :lol:

That's exactly the reason I gave my friends when they questioned me about my intention of getting a ~30 grand MCS.

Oh, I can't wait to see the "blinged" white w/chrome-line interior. Seriously, I'd *suggest* checking out other options. I have no doubts that the exterior of your MCS is going to be the best NAMers have ever seen, bar none. But I shall reserve judgement on the interior until we see some real life snaps.

So what was the final - after the pod cast spec change? I did not pick it up in the MotorFile dialog. ajm

I think this is going to be a killer combination. The all black car with the JCW aero kit is the perfect look. Although I didn't put this on my "Spec the MINI for Gabe" post on Motoringfile, the white accents and trim in the interior are also going to be very cool. I like the idea of a stealth exterior with a little bit of a surprise when you open the door. Actually, I confess that I speced the MINI for myself, and made it a stripped down car. However, I can appreciate the addition of the nav system. I never thought about the integration with the rest of the computer functions and the iPod interface that Gabe talked about on WRR.

I'm looking forward to seeing the final product.
