You are right, I noticed that too and was wondering the same thing myself

The only thing I can think of is when they load mine up, maybe the truck makes a few stops on the way to drop others off and maybe yours get the straight track to your dealer.... just a thought though.

Well, at least I have the weekend to finish the garage....

 

Our car finally arrived at the dealer on Monday. We'll pick her up tomorrow. Southbay Mini was nice enough to send us a picture to hold us over....

I spoke to a MA at MINI of Long Beach last weeks. I was told to expect my car to be available late this week. I hope that means Thursday, or Friday morning and not Saturday! Of course today would be great! It now seems like time is slowing down to a crawl.

I think they were willing to do anything to stop the flood of emails and phone calls from us.

No, they're very nice. When we couldn't come down they even offered to deliver the car. Since this is for my wife and she can spot a scratch on or in my car from a block away I figured its best to pick it up in case they have to do any touch up.

Update: My MA called and told me to pick it up after 6:30 tonight. Then called back an hour later to inform me that my car may need a S/W update and the pickup is delayed to tomorrow! What a tease, but I'm glad that they called me instead of waiting for me to show up at the dealership. Haha.

 

Max is dead. He never made it out of the VDC. It's possible the ride on Titus killed him. Details are sketchy at this point.

Not too many details, yet. Got the bad news by a phone message from my MA... DOA. Details are sketchy...Did Max arrive dead? Or did someone or something do him in at the VDC?

Bottom line, I won't be getting my mini.

Nui, I'll let you know if I find out more... dissappointing to say the least. Surprising... needless to say, that wasn't the call I expected to get from my MA this week!

Sorry to here that Max. What are your options as far as getting another one, are they going to put one together (a bit faster?) and get in on another boat as fast as possible or have you talked about it yet?

 

Hi Twon.... Yes, this development is quite a bummer. We haven't discussed my options in detail yet. The ones that were presented so far were not very satisfying. Not satisfying at all.... Anyways, we'll see. I'm quite down on the situation right now.

 

Maxshrike0, our thoughts are with you. Let us know the details, if you can. I have seen a number of threads on the BB where new buyers have reordered due to wrong options or they changed their minds after the car was built. It appears or appeared based on the comments that the reorder process gets streamlined. I hope that happens for you, now you can add an option or two.
