I feel your pain. Parked my car way out in a publix lot. When I came back a shopping cart easy right up against my car. I move it back to find a small scratch in the bumper. I'd like to repay the kindness of the person that pushed it tward my car by... well never mind. And the trucks that have no flaps on the back and fling rocks at you on the highway, well I'd like to... ah never mind again.

Yep, I know what you'd like to.... never mind.

Our PW MINI took a direct hit with a rock thrown by a truck this afternoon. The result: A dime-sized chip and spider-webbing. We'll be buying a new windshield in the next week or so.

Speaking of no mud flaps... I know dump trucks are a necessary part of life but I'm almost to the point of hating them and their drivers. Going down the road with no covers on their loads, spewing all kinds of crap all over the road, from gravel to field corn.

Okay, I feel better now.

So I just gave this a shot on a dent in the door of our Mazda 3 (shopping cart ). This dent is in the worst possible spot - right on a character line. I did the Mr. Freeze treatment 3 times, blow dryer and all, and while I was not able to remove the dent completely the size and drama of the dent was greatly reduced. I have a feeling that on the right dent it would remove it completely. No damage to the paint, it was very simple to do, and took less than two minutes for each treatment.

Boy, that first ding is tough! Mine was a stone on my racing stripe . . . no chipping but a real dent. Fortunately when I detail I do my wife's car first . . . it is 4 years older and has some scratches and chips under the wax. Slowly I've come to accept that the MINI will have scratches and chips . . . and the dent now seems to me to add a bit of character, kind of like a pock mark (think a Fist Full of Dollars). No way though, that with a new MINI any of this can make any kind of sense to you.

Update w/ pics!

Sorry I hadn't posted this earlier but was having major issues with the camera. I had the dent fixed last Friday. The Dent Wizard guy did an amazing job. Here are before and after pictures. I had to take a zillion pics before getting a good after picture where the minor paint chip the dent left behind would show. Honestly, I go out looking for it and cannot find where the dent was. Truly amazing work.

Oh...it was $100 and he said that up to 3 of the same size, in the same panel would be the same price. I'm really happy with the outcome

OK, you gotta name you MINI after all this.

The repair is impressive... makes me tear up.

Now circle your MINI with padded pillows or something. Rent a garage.
Park far away from "bad" uncaring people.
