Battery was disconnected on every seat removal. I'm wondering if there is a short in the wires heading to the yellow connector. It's also been humid and rainy for a week or so and hopefully it's just a moisture issue that resolved once summer temps return. I'm going to disconnect the battery again and see if it will clear as it did before.
That scanner is well priced and would be ideal for this with a BMW or mini. I was promoted to and my email for a 25% discount. Bad timing for me as money is tight at the moment.
If the Bluetooth antenna is available and the scanner, at a discount, it's hard not to buy.
Thanks Mike for hanging in there with me and my trials and errors.

So my airbag light resolved itself after a couple of dry hot days. This is thv second time it has done this. I should be done taking out seats so that shouldn't return.
My issue now is baffling as well. I tore into the glove compartment and CD changer area last night. Found that the CD changer was not connected at all. On purpose I believe as when I connected to the loom I lost my ability to change anything on the interface area. If I disconnect it, all functions return. Albeit no Bluetooth or USB/aux. Also a random engine light stating possible loss of power. My current code reader doesn't pick up any codes and the car runs as if nothing is wrong. Got electric grimlens for sure. Lost daylight and will get deeper into the glove box area later in the week.

Yes something else is going on I would get a code reader that goes beyond the normal Check engine light. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-schwaben...020sch01a~scf/

Thanks again for your time and help Mike.

If you had a guess, which side of the dash?
If it ends up being in the floor under the rear seats I'm going to go crazy. Maybe I should have checked there before getting deep into the dash.
I am getting my scanner today and I'll see what it tells me, if anything.
Any pointers on that scanner would be helpful.

Yep,

I dug up the old retro fit kit to see if maybe that what was installed.

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-usb-port.html

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...elivery-3.html

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...bluetooth.html post # 22 for install PDF Then on page five on install doc its located on " F" somewhere under the dash or dash pad? Page 11 on that install doc shows under the knee pad trim?

Thanks
Mike
