I am new to the Mini world. Just purchased a 2012 R55 Clubman s. It has a little stumble/misfire when on first crank. Goes away in 10-20 seconds. I replaced the PCV as it was whistling, but no joy on the stumble. No codes except a misfire code. Thought I would just throw $30 at the problem and replace the coolant temp sensor. However, when I I looked at the sensor I discovered I have a non original sensor and likely a non original housing. It is leaking coolant, I think. Coolant residue below the housing??? So I will replace it soon. The sensor is a smaller diameter than stock and angled like a base 1.6 countryman.
Has anyone else seen an angled sensor on an aftermarket N18 thermostat housing?????
