I apologize if this has already been asked and answered but I didn't find what I was looking for when I searched the forum. I have a 2011 JCW Clubbie with an N14 and I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive OBD-II tool for pulling and resetting Check Engine codes. I don't know if it's true, but I've been told that not all OBD-II readers are compatible with BMWs and MINIs. I am looking at the , but I would like to get something a little cheaper if possible. Has anyone used the NT301 or can anyone recommend something that's known to work with the Gen2 MINIs? Thanks in advance.

 

This is true. I am not sure of the lowest $$$ option for a reader. I use an ODB Bluetooth device with Bimmerlink. Other use I-Carly and there is also Bimmergeeks Protool as an option.
