Well, that got expensive quickly.
I had dust inside the Clubman tail lights so I took them out to clean dust out. I rinsed water in the housing, after removing light bulb bar and then to make sure the Calgary hard water did not make water spots inside, I did my trick I always use on headlamps of other cars and I quickly poured some iso alcohol in tail lamps and tossed it around, to dry out the water.
The inside clear plastic lens quickly turned milky white and had things floating around in the solution. Nothing was disolving inside but extra dirt was found. I then poured the iso alcohol out and now my tail lights have a horrible white film inside making the lights unseeable and it has removed the chrome coating inside too.
Well F.
So off to buy new tail lights for r55. Perhaps the LCI tail lamps fit...

EDIT: so I soaked the tail lamps in a very slight soapy water solution over night and it has drastically reduced the milkyness on the clear lens part BUT still not same as before I tried cleaning them out.

Ouch! I hate learning like that.

LCI tail lights will physically fit, but he wiring is slightly different. Might need some coding too. I would just get a set of the same lights from eBay or AllMag parts.

Thanks a lot for your feedback about the LCI. I am not wanting to play with wiring and coding yet so I will stick to the sets for the pre-LCI then. I may as well see if there is something other than factory for a slight "Look" change.
I appreciate your time and response (again).
