2011 climate control in '08 console?

Howdy guys.
Can I put the manual climate control unit from a 2011 mini into my 2008 clubman S john cooper works?
I hate the look and functionality of the stock unit, and 2ould love some good old fashioned buttons and upgraded appearance.
I'm capable enough with wiring, so if I would need spliced a little that wouldn't be a problem for me.

Any advice is appreciated,
Thanks!

You could swap the shells. I did that on my 08 clubmnan s with automatic climate unit. Otherwise, check newtis.info for wiring and connections.

If I just pull them apart and change the shells, will it replace the buttons and everything? Because my main complaint is the temp control "wheels" that you spin and the dial for coverage selection.

Not sure if it'll work. Manual to automatic controller requires coding too. Check the wiring in the links sent earlier to determine what needs to be done. I know there is also a sensor for the automatic climate that needs to be added.

Manual to manual i think is fine and auto to auto. But not sure on the othere, like MINItobe stated its maybe coding and hacking into things.
