has anyone tried converting a manual temp control to an automatic in a mini? i havent taken my 2002 s apart yet, but i have manual controls and would like the auto. any feedback would be great! thanks!

 

This is also a topic that I am interested in, but for my 2010 Mini S.

 

I bet some diligent searching will turn up a post or 2 about why this isn't a good idea. I think i read somewhere that the auto is WAY different than the manual and it would require a LOT of work since the auto head-unit (if you can call it that) sends signals over the car's electronic system (I hesitate to name which one caus I know nothing).
