Today the death rattle started. So my questions is not on the timing chain but the transmission. I believe it is the g253 6 speed and first gear synchro is bad. Were do you get parts for this transmission? Looks like a pretty simple fix and since I have the timing chain problems, oil supply for turbo is starting to leak and the trans grinds I guess I will be digging in to it. But I cant find parts for the transmission.

Apparently, Mini thinks the gearbox is a “non-serviceable” unit, and doesn’t supply repair parts

Checking with Allmag would be a good start, to see if they have any used parts available.
