Paddle switch’s on a manual trans

Hello I just bought a 2010 Clubman it has a 6 speed manual transmission, the title is a Salvage so it was in an accident.I purchased for a good deal and repaired it, bad clutch, I am driving it now and runs great. Just wondering if the paddle switches on the steering are just a general item they put on or has the column and steering wheel been replaced.

If it has the manual transmission and paddle shifters, the repair shop replaced the steering wheel. They are not likely connected to anything.

Thanks! I didn’t think they were ,was just wondering if it was an automatic before the accident car runs and drives good now after I replaced clutch.

you could use the vin decoder to verify transmission type. sometimes shops take the cheapest route or what is readily available for a quick turn around. I doubt it was converted because the takes time, material, and most importantly coding.
